Warriors' Hockey Club Opens

The Warriors' Hockey Club opened its league play in both divisions on Sunday, Nov. 6. The varsity, after coming off two consecutive non‑conference losses, came to life and defeated the Vikings of Niles North, 4‑2.
Captain Steve Sinclair opened the scoring early, with Jeff Magnone connecting on another two shortly thereafter. Steve Cardona closed out the Warrior scoring. Pat Esposito was in the net for the varsity in the 4-2 victory.

The junior varsity dropped its league opener to Niles West in a 4-3 heartbreaker. The combination of Bob Wagner and Bill Berner added two of the Warrior scores, while Tom Allind collected the other.
The varsity competes in the Chicago Metropolitan High School Hockey League playing out of the Oakton Ice Arena in Park Ridge. The junior varsity plays out of the Skatium in Skokie.
