Seasons To Begin Shortly
Fall sports have ended, and it is time to begin the winter sports season. Practice for basketball, wrestling, and gymnastics has already begun.

The varsity basketball team once again this year should be a steady contender for the conference title. Leading the Warriors will be Tim Logisz, an outstanding shooter, and Mike Clark, a great team leader. Although they may be standouts, the team's best quality is balance.

The sophomore team should also have a fine season. Their speed and depth throughout the lineup should carry them this year.
This year the wrestlers will be out to improve on last year's record. Although they had three wins and four losses in conference last year there are many bright spots for the upcoming season. Dave Cavazos will be returning after an outstanding season last year. Dave won 20 straight matches. Though he should have another great year, he is not the only promising point on the team. The Warriors have some tremendous sophomores this year and should have a good all‑around team.

The gymnastics team did not have an impressive season last year, but things could be different this year. The Warrior gymnasts will have a very young team this year. Todd Schludt and Jamie Rosener are the only two returning lettermen. The trampoline has been cancelled which is bad news because both Schludt and Rosener were outstanding on it last year. Despite this, the team was ready to go at their first meet last Friday.
