Pom Pon Girls Place High in Competition
Pom Pon Squad Victorious

Led by captain Reggie Nero '78, the squad forged ahead of 20 other schools to capture a fifth place trophy and a third place ribbon. The Maine West Pom Pons became the first squad in the school's history to win any awards. In a marked improvement over last year's showing, the Porn Pon girls did quite well. In the originality portion of the contest the team took a fifth place trophy. They fared even better in the speed competition. This contest determines how rapidly a Pom Pon squad can master a drill. They were awarded a third place ribbon in this event.
