The girls' basketball team is warming up for another season. The girls' first game is Dec. 20 in which they are in a tournament. Their first regular season game is against Arlington on Jan. 5 at home. All home games are played in C‑wing gym and start at 4:30 p.m.

Coach Les Jannusch said, "Our goal this year is to improve on last year's 2-11 record. The girls have a well balanced team with good speed and they are working on more conditioning this year."

The girls have three returning starters from last year, but they lost their leading scorer. The members of this year's girls' basketball team are Ann Arnold, Kathy Bowersox, Cathy Carstens, Joan Clifford, Lori Cole, Sue Gancarz, Debbie Guetzloff, Margie Horejs, Sue Kelley, Heide Jung, Debbie Meinke, Debbie Molinaro, Nancy Monahan, Linda Olsen, Bev Schick, Karen Stocco, Robin Stocco, Kim Stryker, Jeanne Tortorelli, Irene Weingartner, Kelly Wickstrom, Sue Zuccarini, and Judy Gielarowski, The managers are Jeanne Asa, Julie Bunce, and Hillary Hann.

The girls start the State Tournament in March.
