Volleyball Team Has
Outstanding Season
The Maine West girls' volleyball team has had an outstanding season this year. On Oct. 27, the team beat their toughest competitors, Maine South, by the score of 2-1. Glenbrook North and Niles West fell to the JV but defeated the varsity.

In the Thanksgiving tournament the varsity lost to Queen of Peace and Mother McAuley but went on to beat Forest View and Benet.
In Districts the varsity team beat both Elk Grove and Prospect. This is the first District championship for the volleyball team.

In Sectionals on Dec. 6 and 7 the volleyball team beat Niles East but lost in important match to Maine South. When asked about this year's team, Ms. Royleen Tipton, coach, replied, "I am proud of their accomplishments this year."
