Girls' Basketball Begins Season
The girls' basketball teams have recently begun their games, competing in four games so far this season. The junior varsity played one game, while the varsity played three games.
The returning players from last year's varsity team are Annette Arnold, Sue Kelly, Karen Stocco, Robin Stocco, Debbie Meinke, Wendy Winkelman, and Irene Weingartner.
Cathy Carstens and Sue Gancarz are the returning players from the junior varsity team last year.
Being defeated in all four games, the teams were working hard for their first victory against Maine East yesterday.

The coaches for this year are Mr. Les Jannusch and Miss Connie Bauman.
Coach Jannusch commented, "I think we have a hard schedule ahead, and everyone will have to give 100 per cent so that we can have a successful season."
There are a group of freshmen who play on the junior varsity team and two on the varsity team who seem to have a lot of potential, which will probably head the team toward a much better season.
