Heart Day To Be Held
Maine West Mothers' Club
Applications for the Maine West Mothers' Club are now being issued. They can be obtained from and must be returned to Mr. James Killam in the personnel office. Applications will be accepted no later than Apr. 28. Mrs. Warren McCune, chairman of the Maine West Mothers' Club, will also be happy to answer any questions concerning the scholarships. She can be reached at 299-3734. The scholarships are available to all seniors and will be judged on an application basis. Any course at any community college, college, or university is acceptable.
Spring Vacation
Spring vacation is finally here! The student holiday starts Mar. 23, the day before Good Friday at 3:27. Classes will resume on Monday, Apr. 3, at 8 a.m.
Heart Day
Maine West will hold its first annual Heart Day on Friday, Apr. 14. The purpose of Heart Day is to show the Maine West students and faculty how important the heart is to the human body. Student participation will include having blood pressure checked as well as serving low cholesterol hotdogs and hamburgers in the cafeteria. Other activities will also be scheduled. Student Council will publicize Heart Day along with its sponsors, Mrs. Gail Macdonald and Mr. Erv Geisler. Ms. Hope Needleman is also helping with the day for Maine West students.
Spring Play
Auditions for the spring play will be held Apr. 3 through Apr. 7. Scheduled performances are for May 25, 26, and 27. The name or theme of the play is still to be decided.
