Six West Language Students
To Travel to Madrid, Spain
Tomorrow six Maine West students, along with students from other Maine township schools will say "adios" to the states and "hello" to Madrid, Spain.

Tomorrow Craig Donohue '79, Alan Pacquer '79, Sandy Rose '78, Jodi Sansone '78, Jan Shuldt '79, and Laura Seitz '78 will depart from O'Hare Airport via Air France for a day of sightseeing in Paris, France. The following day at 5:20 p.m. they will take another Air France flight to Madrid and arrive in time for dinner.

On the third day they will tour Madrid including the Royal Palace, one of the largest palaces in Europe. That afternoon a great Spanish custom will be observed a bullfight.
More sightseeing will take place to one of the largest buildings in the world, which houses the royal tombs, chapter houses, a palace, a basilica, and a library. Then they will travel to Seville, where they will see the famous windmills which Don Quixote mistook for monsters.

Next the students will take a sightseeing tour of the most famous sights of Seville. On the seventh day, they tour a winery and then depart to Costa Del Sol. The eighth day they will be free for swimming, sunbathing, or shopping.

Finally, they will be transferred in the afternoon to Malaga for an early evening flight to Paris. On the last day they will leave Paris at noon, and arrive back in Chicago at 3:45 p.m.

The trip is a non‑school affair and is sponsored by Mr. George Kalins and Mr. Bill Barringer, head of Language Department.
