Pancake Day Raises Funds
The Lions' Club is holding its annual pancake day to help raise funds for the blind. The event will take place on Saturday, Apr. 1, in the Maine West cafeteria.

Serving hours will be from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. The price will be $2 for adults and $1 for children. The proceeds will go for glaucoma research, leader dogs, and the Hadley School for the blind, as well as other worthwhile projects.
To go along with the pancake day, the Lions' very own Hap Holly will entertain for the greater part of the morning, featuring the finest sounds in accordion music.

Mr. John Graef, chairman of the pancake day this year, had this to say: The Lions' Club is one of the oldest and most respected service organizations. In addition to helping the blind, efforts are often directed to other community projects as well.
