West to Host First
Interim Meeting

The newly formed Association of Student Councils of the Interim League will hold its first convention at Maine West on Saturday, October 29. The convention will host nine schools of the Interim League.

The represented schools are East Leyden, Glenbard East, Glenbrook, Maine West, Prospect, Proviso West, West Leyden, Wheaton, and Willowbrook. At the convention, Maine West will have 25 representatives. The committee for the convention includes seniors, Mike Callaghan, chairman; Norm Boyer, Jim Brennan, and Karen Fischer; junior, Marilyn Manny; and sophomores, Sandy Collins, Fred Minch, and Lois Wright.
The tentative plans for the convention state that the convention should deal mainly with the councils as a group, sportsmanship among schools, swapshop ideas, future work of the association based around interest, fund-raising projects, exchange students, the encouragement of scholarships, and the organization of elections.

At a previous meeting, the association also agreed on a spring convention to be held at Proviso West.
