| What am I bid for a vigorous, "little lame girl" born in Providence, Rhode Island, 17 years ago? Her one vulnerable spot is being tagged part cho-taw Indian. Margo Beck '61, responds to the nomenclatures Margo, Maggie, Chester, and Limpy. "My abundant free time is whiled away whittling on a spare leg," alleged Margo. Contrary to this far-fetched statement, Margo has her senior year clocked off with precision. Her alarm is set for March 16 when "Inside Out," the annual Variety show, will tick off her fruitful months of preparation as director. What am I bid for this perky, 5 foot 4 inch, blue-eyed Miss who has participated in V-show for four years? Going once... In the positions of assistant and bead choreographers, she has displayed her sterling talents. |
As a TM. (tent maid) at Lake Geneva College camp, she has been confronted with embarrassing predicaments. A Chinaman, after a slight misunderstanding, chased her around the teepee this past summer. -Going twice... A four-year nursing course, at Illinois Wesleyan, will commence for Margo next fall; biology is her favorite subject. Margo imparted that her most frequently used expression is "Borsch," Russian for beet soup. "Rhapsody In Blue" and "Grand Canyon Suite" remain her best-loved musical selections. Margo possesses a mad passion for pickles and mustard, lime sherbert, and tomato juice. When asked which trait she'd alter if the opportunity presented itself, her reply was, "sarcasm and delight in duping others." Sophomore and junior years were best-liked because of fewer responsibilities and anxieties. "Now my outstanding memory of Maine West is extra time after V-show. Going, going, going, gone! Sold to the highest bidder. |
