Warrior of the West

Highest scorer for the team in over-all total is basketball star, Bruce Shriver, one of the mainstays on this year's varsity team.

Participating in basketball all four years, Bruce says his best game played was when he scored 19 points against Clinton in the Pontiac Tournament. "The roughest game played was against Prospect," mentioned Bruce. "We could have done better as a team, but I had loads of fun playing with a great bunch of guys."
Standing six feet, two inches and weighing 185 pounds, Bruce has a brown crew-cut and sparkling blue eyes. When you don't find him on the basket ball court, his interests are with a certain gal in Park Ridge.

When asked what year was most enjoyable for him, Bruce answered, "My senior year, because I've had more fun and met more friends." Bruce is a member of the National Honor Society and this year received a Brotherhood Award.

Bruce plans to attend two years at Wabash College and from there he will attend the Illinois College of Optometry where he will study to be an optometrist.
