'West Side Story' Contrasts Regal Concert Music |

| The Maine West Concert orchestra will preview their new formal attire at the concert which is to be presented tonight at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Mrs. Mildred Heidorn is the conductor. Gerry Stanowicki '61, will be soloist in "Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2." Other selections will include "Herod Overture" by Henry Hadley, "Vivaldi Violin Concerto," and "Farewell Symphony" by J. Hayden. "The Cat and the Fiddle," Phoolish Phantasy, will be presented to captivate the attention of the younger set. |
Selections from the "West Side Story" by Bernstein presented as a contrast to the more regal numbers, will excite the audience during "Boppy" and Something's Coming." "Adagio and Allegro" by A. Corell, "Blue Nocturne" by Art Dedrick, "Relay Race" by R. H. Rimev, and "The Happy Wanderer" by F. Moller will be played by the Junior orchestra. |
