Artists Gain Third Place In Contest |

| As a result of the Regional Art competitions held at Wieboldts' February 18 through March 4, Maine West had a total of 66 art awards for third place among the schools competing. The other winning schools were Evanston, 1st, Maine East 2nd; Arlington, 4th; Highland Park, 5th; and Prospect, 6th. Maine's "blue-ribbon" winners are John Aegerter '63, Jean Alajoki '64, Ruth Gembicki '61, Linda Klug '61, Pete Lopez '61, Jill Peters '62, Curt Snyder '61, Gunther Tetz '61, and Suzanne Wells '61. Those winning gold keys are John Aegerter '63, Jean Alajoki '64, Holly Barrows '61, Carol Blau '61, Dianna Englert '61, Ruth Gembicki '61, Linda Klug '61, Pete Lopez '61, and Christine Lutz '64.
