Interim Conference To Hold Combined Music Festival |
||||||||||
| Niles and several of the schools in the Interim conference, including Maine West, will meet April 17 at 8 p.m. at Prospect High school. This time, however, it will be in the field of music instead of sports. Many of the other conferences hold combined music festivals, but this will be the first year for the Interim League. Each school will send representatives from their chorus, band, and orchestra to participate. The representatives will number about 50 to 100 from each school, with 75 students attending from West. |
Sunday afternoon, April 16, the groups will meet for the one and only rehearsal together. This will also be the only time before the public performance that the students will be able to get acquainted with the guest conductors. The guest conductors were hired especially for this occasion. The band conductor is Mr. George Wilson, the choral director is Mr. Bernard West-lund of Melton College, Wisconsin; and the orchestra leader is Mr. Sylvan Ward of the Chicago Teacher's college. |
