| The Warrior varsity bucket squad closed their season two weeks ago with an 11 and 13 record for a two-year final of 20-22. Coach Gaston Freeman's quintet stood fourth in the Interim League with a 6-6 record, and in addition took a trophy in the Pontiac Christmas Tournament. The squad scored 1367 points during, the 1960-61 season. In the last contest of the season, powerful Maine East dumped the Warriors, 78-64, in a battle of township schools. High man in the East-West test was Demon junior Steve Smith, but Warrior junior Rick Warnicke held second honors with 16 markers. |
