Musical Drama Given Apr. 29
No Ghosts It's Music!

If you have been wandering around the halls after school lately and have heard rehearsals taking place in the auditorium, they aren't the ghostly echoes of V-show. No, it's only the practices for "Listen Music!" to be presented April 29, at 8 p.m.

Included in the program will be a vocal-instrumental segment and the A cappella choir, Girls' Glee club, and Boys' choir in a one-act music drama, "The Lowland Sea."

The Girls' chorus, led by Mrs. Mildred Heidorn, music department instructor, will sing the Prayer from "Hansel and Gretel," "April Showers," and "So's I Can Write My Name." They will be followed by the woodwind ensembles. The clarinet quartet will play "Tenderly" and "Candid Clarinets." The quartet consists of Gerry Stanowicki '61, Ray Boyd '62, Jim Scott '61, and Jack Williams '62.

The trombone quartet will play "Over the Rainbow" and "Laura." Sue Anderson '61, Mark Bade '63, Randy Baselt '61, and Ken Olson '61 are the members.
"The Lowland Sea" written by Arnold Sungaard and Alec Wilden takes place about the year 1845 in a small fishing village called Scarlet Town.

The leading parts are played by Andy Adolfson '61, Dianne Disabato '61, Dave Hopkins '61, Barb Jersey '63, Kay Lonsby '61, Ann Pehrson '64, Donald Plautz '61, and Midge Wolfram '61. Gerry Stanowicki will be the narrator.

The music staff includes Mrs. Mildred Heidorn, Mr. Wilbur Schafer, Mr. Robert Kuite, and Mr. Jared Spears. Mrs. Eleanor Annen, drama and speech teacher, is the producer.

Student assistants are Gail Windmeier '61, producer; Lois Jarl '61, director; Sid Miller '61, producer; Lois Jarl '61, director; Sid Miller '61, co-ordinator; Holly Peterson '61, usherettes; Diana Buthman '61, publicity; Marilyn Binder '61, programs; Kathy Clayton '61, general assistant; Melody Pabst '61, costumes; Doug Radloff '63, and Mike Lane '62, lighting and staging.

Tickets are being sold by stu-dents of the music department. Student tickets are 75 cents and adult tickets $1. There are no reserve seats, and tickets will be sold at the door.
