Quill and Scroll Adds Nine
The Legend is adding nine members to Maine West's Quill and Scroll society. These students are Sue Amy and Marilyn Retzlaff '62; Wil Battles, Sue Frazier, and Karen Krull '61; and Pam Meyer, Nancy Shields, Betty Thiet, and Vicki Webster '62.

Quill and Scroll is a national society for students who are in the upper third of their class and have worked either on the school yearbook staff for two years or have written 100 inches for the newspaper.
 Initiation of these new members will take place at the Quill and Scroll Banquet on May 11. Next year's staff positions for both The Legend and Westerner will be announced at this time.

In a past issue of the paper, names of the mid-year Western-er initiates into Quill and Scroll were given. Future members will be announced as they qualify for the honor.
