Legend Staff Completes Job

One of the most exciting events of the school year will occur on Wednesday, May 31, when the 1961 Legend will make its debut.

"This year's Legend contains 25 more pages than last year's book and an individual picture of each student," commented Editor-in-chief Barbara Lehr.

The planning of an annual is not a last minute task. At this time last year the 15 members of the energetic staff were busy making arrangements for taking pictures of underclassmen and devising new ways of convincing seniors that they really did want to turn in their senior pictures and activity lists BEFORE the book went to press.
Karen Krull '61, business manager, Sue Amy '62, copy editor, Vicki Webster '62, class editor, Nancy Shields '62, administrations editor, Pam Meyer '62, activities editor, and other staff members turned B-211, from serene classroom to an annual madhouse each day during eighth period.

According to Mr. George Walker, Legend sponsor, yearbooks will be distributed during a special 15 minute homeroom period at the end of the day. Two selected representatives from each homeroom will be sent to the stage dressing room area where they will be given the correct amount of Legends for their homeroom.
