Tri-M Goes To Peoria

Modern Music Master's annual state convention, which was held at Maine West last year, will be held at Peoria Central High school, Saturday, May 13.

Two students from Maine West hold office in this state organization. They are Gerry Stanowicki '61, vice-president, and Don Plautz '61, sergeant at arms.

Also attending with other officers and members of local chapter 458 are Ellen Cameron '61, Norm Boyer '61, Donna Cadwallader '62, and Diane Disabato '61.
Mr. Robert Kuite, music department chairman, and Mr. Wilber Schafer, choral director, will accompany the group. They will travel by chartered bus along with delegates from Maine East.

The day's activities will include business meetings, a musical program, and election of new officers.

Modern Music Masters, or Tri-M, is a National organization which began at Maine East a number of years ago under the sponsorship of Mr. Alexander Harley, retired Maine East Orchestra director.
