| Have you ever talked to a bunny? If you haven't, the next closest thing would be to talk with Barbara Lehr, editor of the Legend. She can't seem to keep her nose still. Maybe Barbara's unusual talent is a result of the time she dropped a bottle of cleanser in English class and the smell lasted for three days. It was such a good brand that it took the wax off the floor! When Barbara's not dropping things, you can find her working on the "Legend," reading, bowling, playing tennis, or trying to find time for a shopping spree. Business manager, senior editor of the "Legend", and science seminar in her junior year kept this perky 5 foot 4 inch gal with light brown hair, on her toes, and this year has added National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, bowling club, and , of course, the Legend. |
After graduation from Maine, Barb plans to enter Western Illinois university for one year and then complete her pharmacists education at Chicago Pharmacy college. "Funn-ny-ny" and "what are ya' thinking about?" are two of Barbara's favorite expressions. Also she favors honest people, high school press conventions in Champaign, ice cream cones, and gab fests. "To be interested in others, to face reality, non-prejudice, integrity, respect, responsibility, friendliness, and sportsmanship are the most important things I've learned at Maine," recently commented Barb. |
