Homerooms Report News, Novelties, Newcomers

by Liz Blonston

Here's a cheery "HI" for Maine West's new students. So far, the junior class leads with the most new students, but this is only a partial list, as not all homeroom reporters have turned in reports.

The new West Mainites are: seniors, Sue Anderson, Sharon Glayd, and Marge Keane; juniors, Diane Anetsberger, Sue Berg, Ann Bossen, Lorrie Fleig, Heidi Gruenwald, Dana Halek, Carol Herczeg, Butch Hora, Pat Klausing, Rich Mulcahy, Joey Odenwald, Norm Taylor, Rich Tomczyk, and Jan Westman; sophomores, Sharon Camp, Carol Christ, George Gross, Jo Hoffmeyer, Wendy Peterson, and Angie Ratliff.
Junior homeroom B-210 reports that it has the distinction of being the homeroom with the least library cards: less than 50 per cent of the homeroom has cards, with 15 of them being repossessed. Can any homeroom meet or beat this record?

Sophomore homeroom B-112 has several outstanding students in its midst. Tom Proehaska is president of the sophomore class; Pat "Willie" Ritter is vice-president. Ken Pinzke is playing on the Varsity football team.

Sophomore Randy Schwaber of C-116 was appointed dogcatcher September 30 when a large brown boxer happened to wander into the room during homeroom. However, the dog wandered out on its own accord, so Randy's services were not needed.

Say, Lois Tansley, what is this BB club you're president of? Maybe Bob Simmons, as secretary, can tell us more. How about it, Bob?
