| Warrior Larry Ladendorf is an athlete with many and varied talents. Larry lettered at Maine (East) Last year in football, and is the Warrior's center this year. Besides lettering, Larry earned his numerals both in football and baseball and almost again in wrestling. He was on the 1959 West Suburban Conference baseball co-championship team, and also on last year's undefeated WSC football championship team. Larry mentioned that his greatest thrill was "being on last year's champion team." As for this year, Larry said, "Our football team should do good. Everyone has desire and nobody gives up. This was proven in our first two games when we came from behind to win." This year Larry will also play baseball for Maine West, in tile outfield. |
An honor given to Larry just a week ago was the presidency of the M-club at Maine West, an honor only his fellow lettermen could give to Larry. This five foot, eleven inch Warrior says Prospect should be our roughest game this year, although Proviso West did not prove to be easy. Larry now weighs 180 pounds and is gaining, and incidentally, has blue eyes. Plans for after graduation include a hope to go to Illinois for college, where Larry plans to go out for baseball. Engineering holds an interest for Larry, and he plans to study engineering at Illinois. |
