More Clubs Reveal Plans For
'60-61 School Year

(Editor's note) The Westerner plans to present all the clubs of Maine West on this page during the course of the year.

Theatre Club

"Politics and Poker" is one of the many songs which are in the play Fiorello. Fiorello is the play that Theatre Club plans to attend early in November.

Mr. Marlan Davis is the sponsor of the club with Norm Boyer, '61, as chairman; Carole Koscal, '62, treasurer; and Pam Meyer, '62, secretary. Theatre club sees four or five plays a year, and the dues are $6.50 per semester.

The club was organized to further the understanding of the American theatre to all interested students. With a membership of 4 students and teachers, the club is trying hard to see a good selection of plays which show the Theatre at its best.

'Once upon a Mattress" with Dody Goodman and Buster Keaton was the last play which the club attended. To all interested students the membership will again be open at the beginning of next semester.
Coin Club

If you are interested in collecting new and old, U. S. and foreign coins, then Maine West's newly formed Coin club is for you. The new officers are president Ken Saville, '62; vice-president, Richard Mitchell, '63; secretary, Art Behn, '63; and treasurer, Ray Gross, '61. Mr. Robert Uraski, art department, sponsors the club.

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month. Plans for the next meeting include a guest speaker who will give a speech about gold coins. An exhibit will also be shown. Future plans include a speaker to talk about counterfeit money and a visit to museums and stores which display coin collections in Chicago.
