Traffic Court Enforces Law

Chief Traffic Court judge, Tom Mason, '61, presided over the fifth traffic court Wednesday, hearing several different cases. The court was held in room C-116, at 3:15 p.m.

"The purpose of traffic court," remarked Phil Shayne, head of Service corps, '61 is to enforce the traffic laws at Maine West. Any student who receives a summons is
required to attend a session of court where he will be fined according to his violation." The next session is Wednesday, November 9, and there will be one every Wednesday thereafter.

Violations in the parking lot vary from parking over the white line or not displaying a sticker, to reckless driving and excessive noise. The cost of the violation varies from 25 cents to $3.
