| Tomorrow 23 girls along with Miss Pierce will go by chartered bus to Glenbrook to participate with other schools in the area in a round-robin tournament with Glenbrook's GAA. Hockey, basketball, and swimming will be played from 9 to 12. From 12 to 1 prizes will be given out and lunches will be eaten. "Chain of Lakes state park, here we come," was the cry of 15 girls, three faculty members, and a dog, last Saturday, October 22. The girls, members of GAA camping, the faculty members, |
Miss Joyce Buck, Miss Barbara Bovenmeyer, and Miss Corine Clark, and the dog, a French poodle named Cher, left school at 9 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival at the park at 10:30, tents were set up in preparation for the coming night. After a lunch of sandwiches and lemonade from home, the girls set out on a hike. Highlights of the hike were seed collecting, skimming rocks over a lake, and a continual picking of burrs from clothing. |
