Warriors At Home Nov. 25th
Maine West's varsity buckeeteers will host Blue Island, at Maine East on November 25. The varsity contest begins at 8 p.m., while the junior-varsity match starts promptly at 7 p.m. The Warriors first conference game of the season finds the Westmen pitted against the Spartans from Glenbrook, December 9, on the 'Brooks court. Following the Blue Island game, the Warriors are on the road until after the Christmas vacation, when they meet Proviso West, January 6.

Of the six veterans back from last year's squad, only senior Keith Connolly is a letterman. But other seniors that saw action were center Bruce Shriver, forwards Mike Rowlee and Doug Halpenny, and guards Bruce Murdock and Ron March.

Maine West will compete in the Interim Association for the first time, this season. Last year, as an independent school, the Warriors chalked up a 10-10 record. It might be noted, however, that seven of the ten defeats were by no more than two or three points.
