Jordan, Ron Knittle, Mike Kunkle, Larry Ladendorf, David Larsen, Jim Lunetto, George Nickel, Charles Novak, Bob Lorentz, Charles Romano, Richard Samlow, Bob Stephens, Dennis Toll, Charles Well, Keith Zolla, and managers Dave Markworth and Jack Engstrom. Cross country letters went to Wil Battles, Mike Canar, Paul Eisenbacher, Bob Jonas, Art Lemke, Ed Luzietti, Vic Oakley, Wayne Roberts, Frank Schwartz, Bill Sloss, Craig Smith, Ed Stedman, Al Wankat, Sig Weller, Lee Wolf, and managers Paul Bushkin and Nick Ladas. |
Coach Ken Olson's football team was represented on the Interim League's All-Conference team by three individuals, all seniors. Those athletes chosen were guard Mike Kunkle, and George Amundsen, and halfback Keith Connolly. Prospect headed the team with nine players named. Maine West's tankmen, under coach Harold Baer, will host this year's Interim League conference swimming meet. Baer's squad, headed by a host of returning letter winners, looks to have an excellent chance for the Interim swimming crown. Mr. Marv Nyren directed a strong West junior varsity football squad through a series of hard luck games to a two-won, five-lost record. The JV's played before most of West's varsity encounters. Opening up its pocketbook, Maine West's GAA sent $25 to CARE. The money will be used to buy a recreation kit for some needy town in a foreign country. Included in the kit will be a volleyball, a net, six play-ground balls, a softball, a bat, and a basketball. |
