VOL. II, NO. 6
DECEMBER 16, 1960

Sue Found Guilty of Leadership

Wham! Court is now in session. Will the defendant please take the witness stand.

-What is your name?

-Honest Sue Fraiser. Susan for short, though. I like the name Susan, don't you?

-You are charged with holding the office of President of Girls' club and with being on the council for the past four years. How do you plead?

-Guilty, Your Honor. Say, do you like to play chess? I do;

I even have a book on the subject.

-Well, uh, yes. But to get back to the subject at hand. It says here that you've been lingering around B-211 during eighth period and looking mighty suspicious about something. What intrigue are you and your associates plotting? Be honest.

-Didn't I already tell you that my first name was Honest? We're planning a secret book containing an old Legend to be revealed in the spring.

-Just what is your job with this book?

-This year I'm Senior editor and last year I was Activities editor. Speaking of activities, some of those conventions the staff gets to go to are pretty active.

-Yes, go on!
-Whatever anyone tells you, don't believe it! I didn't sit up in the window and whistle at all the boys! Really I didn't! I can't even whistle.

-Back down to cases. How do you plead to the charges of being a member of Sigma Chi Sigma, Historical society, and Student Council?

-I'm afraid I must plead guilty on all three counts, Your Honor. Hey, three is my lucky number. (aside) It's also significant in Macbeth, for all you Shakespeare lovers.

-Well, uh, uh, - - . maybe you don't know it but I'm ambidextrous. I eat and bowl with my right hand, and I write with my left hand. Maybe I should try writing with my right hand.

-What do you think about -

-Wind and fog? I like them in any color but fuschia. Say, have you seen Sue Fessenden's new winter coat? Isn't it dreamy? I like it better than chocolate ... which runs a high second on my list.

-Wham! There will be a short break for lunch.

-Oh Goodie! Will there be any crushed ice in the drinks?

-Double "Wham!" Court adjourned.
