Xmas Causes Dilemma For Parents, Tots

It's all right, John-the kids are asleep. We can start putting the packages under the tree now. Oh, John, I forgot to tell you, there's a... Never mind you found the creaky stair. Just be quiet, or you'll wake the kids.

That's a pretty big load you've got; you better let me help you with it. Hey, watch out it's swaying! I've got part of it, but ...OH, John! Now they're awake for sure.' You'd better go check. And if they ask what the noise was, just tell them Santa fell down the... hmm -we haven't got a chimney, have we? Well, just tell them it was the reindeer on the roof getting impatient because Santa couldn't find the chimney.

Were they awake? Good. I'll start getting the packages under the tree while you go out and get the bikes. They're in the garage behind all your garden junk. You can put it next to the sofa, so we'll have plenty of room for all the other things.
Jimmie! What are you doing there? Now look what you've done-you scared Santa away, and I'm stuck with all these presents to put under the tree. Santa doesn't like little children to watch him while he's putting the presents under the tree. He thinks it's nicer for them to be surprised Christmas morning. Now you get to bed so I can finish putting the packages around the tree-and don't tell Terry you scared Santa away. What? Why, of course, there's a Santa Claus. I just saw him-he went out the back door when he saw you. Now, get to bed!

Oh, hi, John. Put the bikes right here. What's that? A rocket launcher for Jimmie? Fine-let's see what it looks like before we wrap it. Oh, no! It isn't assembled!
