| As a Public Service Be the first in your homeroom to enjoy the pleasures of the Advanced Make-Out Kit. Included are: 1. One bottle Ban for those with marble pits 2. A special Remington-Auto-Home for those with hair lip 3. One Titanic watch which was tested for its water-proofness by being towed across the Atlantic under the S.S. Timex 4. A copy of My Wicked, Wicked Ways, by Errol Flynn, the textbook for the kit. And, if tiddly-winks should bore you, a list of Nite Club Recommendations, for after the Christmas Formal, is included. Recommended bistros are: Honolulu Horny's This is a pretty snappy place. The Wahini dancing girls hold up their grass skirts with suspenders. Hung-Fi Village Too cheap. Only one chopstick. Had to apply wad of Plow Boy to end of stick. Ireland's Tricky. This is the place where you pick your own lobster to eat. Some have apparently not had their distemper shots. The waiter handed us a chair and a bull whip and muttered something about, "How's your Blue Cross?" Chez Paree Legs to Victory. This is an ADORABLE place. Contributed by Walt Dibbern '62, A-205, Bill Downing '62, A-205, and Dave MacDonald '62, A-211. |
Dance Contest Winners Congrats to Dianne Disabato, B-108, and Brian Cunneen and Sharon Salvo and Mike Biewer, A-216, seniors, the winners of the dance contest at the all school record hop that was held December 2. The next record hop will be held January 13. Welcome, Mike Have you noticed a dark-hair-ed lad who is new at Maine West this year? Michael E. Skordas '62, lived in a small town near Athens, Greece, before he came to America five months ago Although he has found many unusual things in the United States, Mike likes it better than any other country. He describes the students at Maine West as being "very line." The people in Mike's hometown in Greece belong to the Greek Orthodox church. Surprisingly, Christmas is celebrated in much the same way there as it is here. They don't, however, have a Santa Claus, so Mike may be seeing something very new to him this year. Calisthenics for TB To get money for the Tuberculosis drive, Mr. Snider, C-208 homeroom teacher, did push ups in front of his class. For each push up, the students had to pay a penny for the TB drive. Mr. Snider did 33 push ups, so if he is seen with a hunched back, you'll know why. |
