These Recall Past Presents |

| Question: "What was the worst or best present that you ever received for Christmas, and why was it that way?" Bob Metzler '61, B-108; "I can't think of any one present that was better than others, but the worst present I ever receiv-ed was an erector set without nuts or screws." Linda Perley '62, C-214; "I think the worst present I ever received was a three-piece plastic sewing doll. The top piece included everything from head to waist, the second piece was her skirt, and the third piece was the base. The problem was that the three pieces didn't fit together. The second piece was too big for the third piece, the first piece wouldn't separate from the second piece, and besides," she gasped, "it was hard to keep clean." |
Robert Meyers '64, C-204; "The worst present I ever received was a flashlight, because the colored lenses were cracked and the batteries were overflowing inside the case. We had to send it back to the fac-tory and never did get the darn thing returned. The only reply was a card which read, "OUT OF BUSINESS.'" Gerry Geiger '63, A-202; "The best present I ever received was a dog, a wire-haired terrier to be exact, which is black and white and has a face like a raccoon. The worst present? Measles." |
