Girls Swim
Maine West participated in the State GAA Postal Swim meet on December 1. 15 girls raced against the clock in the Maine West pool

Winners in the different meets were Sharon Fogelquist, 25 yds, freestyle 15:0; Pat Stein, 25 yds, breaststroke 21:0; Cherry Cress, 50 yds, freestyle 38:1; Midge Wolfram, 25 yds, fly 23: 0; Diane Voltz, 25 yds, backstroke 19:0; Jane		 Mountford, Sharon Fogelquist, Carol Nagel, and Diane Voltz, 100 yrd, relay 104:9.

Every Tuesday and Thursday after school, volleyball is held after school in C wing gym. There are 16 teams in the tournament with a three way tie for first place. The team captains are Pam Sunblad, Marilyn Davis, Doris Taylor, Karen Kautz, Jan Virostko, Arline Boyer, Kem Lenke, Pat Jordon, Sue Burdette, Linda Elling, Judy Kosanda, Sue Johnson, Lois Wright.
