Junior's Query Answered Concerning Paper Stall

(The following editorial is an attempt to answer the three questions that were asked in one of the letters to the editor signed "left-out junior.")

To work on the staff of the school newspaper has always been considered an honor. Also, to work on the staff of the school newspaper, one requires some knowledge of journalism. It is for these reasons that all of the staff members of the Westerner must first pass a year's course in journalism. This year there are two juniors and one sophomore working as trainees for the paper. These exceptions were specially recommended by their English teachers because of their ability, sincere desire to study journalism, and convenient schedule (study hail eighth period). Besides these and some of the
photographers, the staff is made up entirely of seniors who have successfully passed journalism.

It has always been the earnest desire of the Westerner staff to represent the entire student body in all ways. One of the paper's features is a homeroom column devoted completely to news brought in by representatives from every homeroom in school. If we do not receive any news from these representatives, we surely can't print any. If we have failed to present to the student body fair coverage of the school events, then we are deeply ashamed and are ready and willing to accept any suggestions or ideas that will help us to represent the school more fairly. We'd like to hear your ideas.
