Westwords' Yearly Sale |
||||||||||
| Under the direction of Miss Anne Lauterbach, the creative writing classes are busily working out last minute details for the annual all-school literary publication "Westwords." The week of February 6 has been set aside for the drive. Orders for Westwords will be taken in all English classes February 6-10. The cost of the publication is 50 cents. Although directed by the creative writing classes, anyone may submit material for Westwords provided that the material submitted is original. Any student wishing to enter something must first submit a copy to his English teacher for correction and revision. The material will then be |
collected by the Westwords staff. To insure sufficient time to judge all entries fairly, a deadline of February 28 has been set. The directing staff for the project are Ruth Gembicki, art and publicity; Bob Hammond, poetry; Judy Mayer, essays; Kathy McLaughlin, editor; Bobbie Sommers, production; Marolyn and Carolyn Taylor, fiction; and Al Wankat, business manager. Miss Lauterbach requests, "All students interested in enterm material for the publication should try to get it in as early as possible to ease the task of judging and editing." She concluded, "This year's Westwords promises to be one that no one will want to be without." |
