Luzietti Plus Dowey Equal Sportsmanship And Pep

If you hear of a new diet fad, don't mention it to Jill Dowey, for she's sure to try it, and we don't want this attractive gal to disappear completely. She's a talented dancer, and she uses this ability to advantage as captain of the Porn Pom squad and as a member of the water ballet team. Sewing numbers among her hobbies.

This green-eyed, dark-haired personality pulls no punches when she voices her opinions about students who don't come to pep assemblies and girls who smoke in the wash rooms.

Jill isn't telling any of her bad habits, if she has any, but she does admit she could have used some good study habits. She claims no favorite subjects but does spend a lot of time in chemistry-by request-after school.

Our personality is quick to tell you that she likes her senior year the best, mainly of what's his name again??

Jill has had a few embarrassing moments, but confidentially her most embarrassing one was the day she tried to catch up with Paul Cornog in the hail, reached out to poke him with her finger when it caught in his back pants pocket and ripped his trousers -blush -blush!

The future will find Jill attending Iowa State, followed by a career in nursing. She will certainly add a bright spot to the day of any hospital patient.
Ed Luzietti, busy heading the Sportsmanship committee of Student Council is quite a sports enthusiast besides. He enjoys participating in track and cross country, lettering twice and once in each, respectively. Plus sporting an "M" sweater (minus the pin), he was elected Student Council representative in his junior and senior years.

Eating foods of all kinds, especially Italian dishes, dancing the "Can-Can", and watching TV are high on his list of favorite past times. Another outside activity which takes up most of his spare time is five foot two (eyes of blue?).

"My worst problem is remembering names," confessed Ed. "I can never seem to recall the name and match it up with the right face. This some-times happens among my best friends."

As to the future, Ed hopes to go to college; probably majoring in teaching or business administration. "After that, I'll do what every young American bachelor does-get married. What else?"

"Searching for four drowned boys in the Wisconsin River last summer proved to be my most exciting adventure," Ed revealed.

"The most embarrassing ex-perience I can remember happened a couple of years ago. I was riding, of all things, a bicycle down a rather large dirt hill, and at the bottom of
the hill was a nice, soft mud puddle. Need I say more?"

Ed also observed, "I would like to see the students put the 'U' into Student Council. I would also like to note that Maine West has a much more friendly atmosphere than it did last year and there is a reason. Most of you know which fellows are to be given credit, but have you thought to thank them for their time?"

A thought Ed always tried to keep in mind is one by Emerson: "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."
