Tankers Up Win Streak To 5 Straight |

| Maine West's swimming tankers won three more in a row to extend their winning streak to five. The triumphs came at the hands of Niles, 45-41, Elgin, 56-30, and the most recent, East Leyden, 67-19. The victory over the Eagles was most refreshing since West had suffered defeat to Leyden earlier this season, 56-30. This evening at 7:30, coach Harold Baer's mermen host a tough crew of Panthers from Proviso West in a rematch. Proviso was the victor in the first meeting of these two squads. of course be held in Maine West's pool. Five schools will participate on the varsity level and seven on the freshmen sophomore plateau. The varsity squads are: Maine West, Glenbrook, Proviso West, East Leyden, and West Leyden.
