West To Host Debate Feb. 25
West's debaters will host Evanston, Highland Park, Maine East, New Trier, and Proviso West's orators, Saturday, February 25. As the debates get underway at 9 a.m., 25 West students will act as timers. The above schools belong to the Suburban Interstate Debate league. Miss Harriet Johnson, coach, is in need of timekeepers and would like to see anyone interested.

Andy Adolfson '61, Craig Seitz '62, and Celeste Stachnik '61, appeared on WBBM TV m a debate against Proviso West on January 28. Andy gave information about the school, while Craig and Celeste composed the varsity negative team.
 The debaters have participated in two tournaments since the televised one. One of these was at Maine East on February 1, the other at Blue Island High school on February 11. At the Lincoln Day tournament at Blue Island,

Maine West's varsity came in second but missed getting the trophy because of speakers' points. The sub-varsity team, Jim Moyer '62, and Bonnie Od-den '64, had a record of three wins and one defeat. Other participants were Richard Giles '63, Carl Jefferson '63, Joy Staller '62, and Joe Waters '62.
