Student Council's first activity will be the Homecoming festivities which will be Thursday, Oct. 12, to Saturday, Oct. 14. The theme for this year's Homecoming will be The Wondrous World of Disney.

Float building will begin on Saturday, Oct. 7. Each class will build its own float, which will be taken in the parade through Des Plaines on Thursday, Oct. 12, and end in the stadium where they will be judged during the pep assembly. Other activities at the pep assembly will include a tug of war, a VW push, and the competition cheer.

Friday night, the Warriors will take on Niles West in the Homecoming football game. During half time, the Homecoming queen will be presented along with her court. The Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday night in the auditorium.

Officers for Student Council this year are, Dave Jackson, president; Laura Geimer, vice‑president; Sue Wolinsky, secretary; Tony Christ, treasurer; and Denise Wronski, correspondence secretary. The sponsors are Mr. Ervin Geisler, and Mrs. Gail Macdonald.

According to Dave Jackson, this year, the officers will take a larger part in training underclassmen in Student Council, so they will be good leaders in coming years. He encourages anyone interested in Student Council to come to their meetings which are held period 1 daily in L‑101. "I'm looking forward to a productive and very exciting school year," he said.
