College night will be held here on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. For underclassmen the night will provide an opportunity to see representatives from any of the 180 schools which will be present and will provide a good starting point for those who have not decided which college they plan to attend. Seniors often have questions which catalogs can not answer, and talking to the representative from the college they are going to attend will be extremely helpful in gaining information about the school itself.

Makeup Pictures

Makeup pictures for seniors will be taken on Sept. 25‑29. If seniors who need pictures have not already made appointments, they should call the Root Studio and arrange to have the pictures taken. Approaching Holidays


The next holiday which will be celebrated by Maine West students will be Columbus Day on Oct. 9. One month later, on Nov. 9, there will be a teachers' institute which will limit school to the morning. Thanksgiving will occur on Nov. 23, and school will be closed for two days, Nov. 23 and 24.
