The varsity tennis team started their season by losing all three of their matches. The team is coached by Mr. Roger King.

The West girls lost to Niles North by a score of 7‑1. The lone match was won by Denise Jenderzak, 6‑3, 6‑3, in first singles.

The Warrior netwomen lost their next two meets to Glenbrook North and Lake Park, both by a score of 7‑0. This year the varsity squad consists of: Denise Jenderzak, first single; Debbie Molinaro, second single; Debbie Linderman, third single, and Mary Sullivan, fourth single.

First doubles are Cathy Fiarito and Elizabeth Boch; second doubles are Maureen Schooly and Margo Hennessey; third doubles are Jean Hoch and Kay Vinci. The girls' tennis plays their next meet Sept. 26, at Glenbrook South starting at 4:30 p.m.
