In elections which have been held in the past two weeks new Senior Class and Student Council officers have been selected. The president of next year's Senior Class will be Michelle Jacoby, and the Student Council president will be Kathy Bowersox.

Next year's other Senior Class officers will be Angela Duncan, treasurer; Chihiro Morishima, secretary; Doreen Schmidt, vice‑president. This election was held on Friday, May 11.

Student Council elections were held April 26 and 27. Even though students were given ample opportunities to vote the voter turnout was low, approximately seven percent or 387 students. Next year's Student Council officers will be Kathy Bowersox, president; Toni Christ, vice‑president, and Eileen Terry, secretary.

Students were unable to vote for vice-president because, according to the Student Council Constitution, students who run for office unopposed are automatically elected. Write‑in votes are not permitted. Kathy Lyons was elected by the Student Council General Assembly to be next year's treasurer.

The goal of next year's Student Council and Senior Class officers will be to perpetuate the good government which will be left to them by Dave Jackson, this year's Student Council president, and Rich Bistany, president of the Senior Class. Elections for Sophomore and Junior Class officers will be held later this year while Freshman officers will be elected next fall.
