Wandering Warrior
Raising the Age to 21 Affects Maine West Students

How do you feel about raising the drinking age to 21 in Illinois?

Mike Unger '79 ‑ I think it's really good because I feel no one under the age' of 21 should partake in the consumption of any alcoholic beverages.

Jeff McGlone '79 ‑ It's terrible. If no one drank anything, we would all dehydrate and die.

Dennis Murray '79 ‑ Prohibition is the tragedy. Raising the legal age of drinking to 21 will only lead to more arrests. W. C. Fields will roll in his grave.

Craig Donohue '79 ‑ I think it's good.

Anne Ingles '79 ‑ There's a drinking age now?

Mr. James Martin - I definitely think it's a good idea. I think it's a good way to keep the 17, 18, and 19 year‑old drunks off the street. It will keep my beater on the street and safe from intoxicated teenagers.

Mark Garesche '81 ‑ I don't care. I couldn't buy beer when I was 19 so it won't affect me. I'll just get it from home.

Kerm Towler '81 ‑ I don't associate with alcoholic beverages anyway; I don't believe in artificial highs.

Jeff Maxwell '81 ‑ It doesn't matter; I'll still beat Otis in pool.

Dean Vaia '81 ‑ I think it's great. Kids should not drink; it is bad for them.

John Graziadei '81 ‑ I think they should do it by I.Q.

Bill Krusinski '79 ‑ I really don't care as I'll be spending the whole summer in Wisconsin, where everyone knows the drinking age is only 18.

Ben Serritella '81 ‑ It really won't bother me any because I do what I please.

Don Gutzmer '81 ‑ I think the drinking age should be higher.

Steve Volberding '81 ‑ I wouldn't have to worry. I've been fully krausened since age eight and beechwood aged since age 13.

Pat Wurster '81 ‑ It wouldn't matter to me; I'd just make grain alcohol in wood shop.
