Boys' Track Ends With Fine Outing

Last Saturday, the boys' track team completed their season by competing in the varsity and sophomore conference track meets at Glenbrook South. The Warrior team came in with a fine fourth place finish.

The varsity squad had many scorers in Saturday's meet. In the two-mile relay, Dwight Bohne, Ray Matkovic, Frank Hruban, and Bob Fisher placed second. The mile relay team of Mario Guerrero, Bohne, Matkovic, and Hruban came in fourth place. Tony Tovella, Randy Burke, Mark Voss, and Guerrero placed fourth in the 440 relay. The same four,

Tovella, Burk, Voss and Guerrero, placed third in the 880 relay. In the individual events, Bob Fisher had a second place finish in the mile run, while Kent Towler placed third and Jukka Kaillo fifth in the two-mile run.

Many fine performances were also turned in on the sophomore level. The two‑mile relay team of Ken Wolowicz, Jim McArdle, Curt Danielson, and John Dobbs took fourth place. The most outstanding performances of the day were turned in by Chris Walsh. Walsh took first in both the 880 run and the one-mile run.
