Maine West Salutes Senior Girl Athletes

Badminton

Denise Jenderzak, captain of the Maine West badminton team, has been picked as the Most Valuable senior for the '79 season. She has played varsity for the three years she has been on the team. She started as a sophomore playing doubles, then advanced to playing singles in her senior year. Her best accomplishment was winning the conference singles title this year. She has competed in the district tournament for the last two years and was selected as an All Conference player this year. Denise was also a state qualifier on the tennis team.

Denise has contributed a great deal toward the tennis team, and this year she was voted the Most Valuable Player on the team. She also plays badminton and is the team's captain this year. Denise is a fine athlete and will be missed by all.
