Swimming

Maureen Moeller has been selected as the most outstanding female swimmer of the 1978‑79 season. She participated on the team for four years. Her first big accomplishment as a swimmer here at Maine West was to be named a state qualifier in her freshman year. In her junior year, she was named an All Conference athlete. Along with these accomplishments, Maureen holds the school record in three events. She broke the record in the 400 free relay, 50 free, and 100 free all this year. She also qualified for state this year in the 50 free.
