Denise Jenderzak has been named the most outstanding senior girl tennis player this year. She has played on the Maine West tennis team for four years. The first year she was on JV, and the next three years she made the varsity line‑up.

This year Denise had qualified for state competition. In the competition Denise played for five rounds before she was beaten. This is a very good start for a first year player in state. This score of five rounds is tied with Nancy Webber for the highest place in state competition in Maine West, among the girls. After the state games, Denise was placed 32 in the state.
