V‑Show Rehearsals Begin

The 1978 V‑Show, "Family Reunion," has begun rehearsing this week in preparation for the show which will be produced from Nov. 15‑18 with a 4 p.m. matinee on Wednesday, Nov. 11, and 8 p.m. performances on Nov. 16‑18.

"Family Reunion" will be directed by Ms. Sandra Bonde, a new teacher at Maine West. It has incorporated the various acts into a central theme, the family reunion of a large family in a victorian style home. The house, which will be the setting for all acts, has been designed by Ms. Michele DiCarlo. Ms. Susan Colliander is in charge of the technical aspects of the performance. The setting will make large use of the fly gallery which was built only two years ago.

Actors in "Family Reunion" are Maureen O'Malley '80, Sheila Wall '80, Ellen Tolsten '79, Kathy Bashem '79, Mike Stein '81, Paul Dombrowski '80, Mark Halverson '80, and Eddie Johnson '82. Others include Paul Sieben '80, Mike Drelicharz '81, Steve Burek '79, Frank Melchard, Jim Mix '79, Fred Klee '80, Bob Schumm '80, Sheila Nelson '79, Marcy Bakker '81, Carol Schwitzenburg '81, Kim Williams '82, Julie Coburn '82, Judy Rompf '79, and Julie Farell '79. Also acting are Mary Slapke '80, Linda Siejud '82, Paul Dinowski '79, Bryan Hand, Steve Lepar '81, Cathy Stein '79, Laura Stein '81, and Jeanine Sansone '79.

Dancers in this year's V‑Show are Sue Weaver '81, Ellen Terry '80, Margaret Sjostrand '79, Ellen Tolstad '79, Lisa Marquette '81, Ellen Lorz, Kathy Lucia '82, Julie Weber '82, Diane Thing '80, Denise Preiss, Alma Komendowski '80, and Debbie Priess '80. Others include Laura Stein '81, Anjula Lal '79, Barb Warner '80, Diane Stefgen '80, Debbie Hopkins, Debbie Hill '82, and Debra Hayden '80. Ellen Tolstad and Debbie Preiss are the student choreographers.

Those who will have singing roles in this year's production are Denise Preiss '80, Kris King '80, Maureen O'Malley '80, Marcy Bakker '81, Jeanette King '81, Julie Coburn '81, Marty Pazdioch '80, Anita Jensen '79, Paula Kavanaugh '80, and Kathy Lyons '82. One student rock group has a part in "Family Reunion." Beowulf consists of a drum set and two electric guitars.

"Family Reunion" promises to be one of the most successful V‑Shows in recent years and will become even more successful if it meets with full student cooperation.
