The Maine West varsity and junior varsity golf teams both have won two out of their last four matches.

On Sept. 19 the Warriors defeated Ridgewood on both levels ‑ the varsity winning, 159‑198, and the JV winning, 182‑209. Low shooters were Mike Franklin with a 37 and Gary Struck with a 39 for the varsity and Jim Carroll with a 42 and Steve Martini with a 44 for the JV squad.

Deerfield, Maine West's next opponent, proved to be a different story as the varsity lost, 172‑167; and the JV lost, 209‑176. Struck and Steve Zilleox were low for the varsity, and Martini and Carroll were again low for the JV.

The golf team handled Niles West easily on both levels on Sept. 26. The scores were 169‑176 for the varsity match and 173‑213 for the JV. The low scorers this time were Zilleox and Franklin for the varsity and Carroll and LaRocca for the JV squad.
