Maine West's golfing season has ended, and the varsity squad ended up with eight wins and five losses. The JV team ended their season with seven wins and six losses.
In the district match the golf team tied for fifth place with Maine East with a score of 355. The varsity team came in third in the conference tournament, and both the sophomore and the varsity squads came in fifth in the over‑all conference.
During the regular season the Warriors lost on both levels to Glenbrook South. The varsity was nudged 156‑155, and the JV lost 193‑177. Gary Struck and Steve Zilleox were the low scorers for the varsity and Martini and Carroll were low for the JV.

In their next match the varsity team came back with an important victory over Maine South, but the JV lost again. Zilleox shot a 41 and Struck a 38 for the varsity; Martini with a 44 and Carroll with a 51 were low for the JV.
In their most recent match, both levels were victorious over Wheeling: the varsity by the score of 166‑180 and the JV by the score of 187‑190. Zilleox and Struck were again low for the varsity, and Martini was the low shooter for the JV.
Congratulations go to the Warrior golfers with the lowest averages for the year. For the varsity that's Zilleox (40.6 average), Franklin (40.9 average), and Struck (41.2 average). Martini (43.0 average), And Carroll (45.2 average) were low scores for the JV.
